Thank you all for your support in answering my questions and sending me links for MijoShop support… I am still at a loss. I was recently PMed and told that I have not installed MijopShop correctly. Can someone help me figure out what I’ve done wrong?
I really thought this Opencart was going to be easy but its pretty hard to figure out. Can someone help me set up my MijopShop pretty please… maybe help me set 1 item up that you can purchase (a book) ? Or is this too much to ask. Why is this so hard for me to figure out??

I followed the steps in this thread and got stuck on Step 2 with XML installation errors so you can imagine my frustration?

    Hi there,

XML installation errors most likely pop up when we are trying to install a Joomla extension on a wrong Joomla version.

At the time I am writing this post I can see three versions of MijoShop available for purchase and installation at http://mijosoft.com/joomla-extensions/mijoshop-joomla-shopping-cart: one – for J! 1.5, another one – for J! 2.5 and the third one – for J! 3.

Are you sure you are trying to install MijoShop on a correct Joomla version?

Please keep in mind that support for 3-rd party extensions is outside our support policies and even speaking from just common sense, no one will help you with MijoShop better that its developers and their community.

We will be more than happy to help you with the JA Bookshop template itself and its supported JA extensions.

    Regards,

    Alex

I didn’t even know there was a version – my boss bought the license and sent me the mijoshop.com username and PW and I logged in downloaded the file

    lol There you go. 🙂

Now you know what to do: trust your boss but with a pinch of salt and do your own home work. 🙂

All the best with your MijoShop installation and configuration. I am more than sure some of your would be questions on possible issues with it have been already covered at mijosoft.com for you.

I submitted a ticket with MijoShop as I am unable to figure this out on my own… l opened the read me file that was in the .zip file that my boss downloaded from MijoShop (as he told me there was only 1 MijoShop to purchase ) and in the read me file it states:
    For Joomla 2.5 and 3.x

    ###############################################################

    REQUIRED
    ——–
    com_mijoshop.zip

    pkg_mijoshop_library.zip

    plg_mijoshop_jquery.zip

    OPTIONAL
    ——–
    pkg_mijoshop_themes.zip

    ###############################################################

    For Joomla 1.5

    ###############################################################

    http://mijosoft.com/downloads/mijoshop/extras/mijoshop-for-joomla-15

… and that’s exactly what I did. I actually uploaded all the .zip files… so … since it says “For Joomla 2.5 and 3.x” … wouldn’t those .zip have worked for both versions of Joomla?

I’ve owned a webdesign company now for 6 years. First time using Mijoshop. Setting up a e-commerce website needs lot of skills and is not easy. If you are having issues installing the right component version i strongly recommend getting some professional help.
