Hi I am trying to migrate an old joomla 1.0 site to jommla 1.5 with ja teline IV and things aren’t going so bad. Today I notice that there are some problems with the layout I made and with the use of some modules:

I created a mega menu as in the demo with link to the section (section blog layout) and all work fine
then I enabled JA News – Linear Layout module choosing in “content section” only the section of the site

by the way when I click a section in the megamenu it leads to the correct section with a the correct layout, otherwise when I click to the same section in JA News – Linear Layout it leads to a section with the right content but a different layout and with wrong module in the other position (col-mass-top).
The links from the two module are different too

correct (megamenu) http://www.site.com/directory/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&layout=blog&id=6&Itemid=880
wrong (Ja news) http://www.site.com/directory/index.php?option=com_content&view=section&id=6&layout=blog&Itemid=730

I don’t know if I explained the problem properly, but I Hope someone can help me,

Hi,

If you check the urls you have provided, you will see that all the params in it are same except for Itemid. The issues seems to be causing due the Itemid conflict.. Try unpublishing one of the menu items with itemid 880 and 730 and see if the links work correctly then.

Hi Now I understand the problem, but even if i delete the wrong menu item (itemid 730) I can’t solve the problem at all. (the link still finish with Itemid=730)
But now I have the correct pagination of the article in ja news 2, as I choose in the megamenu, (without the right color of the section, but this is another problem ) but a different pagination of the layout of the section at all. In fact i can’t see the module I pubblish in the col mas top position of the section, and It shows me only the module I pubblish in all the pages:((

p.s. sometimes this appens alto with the articles that don’t show the correct pagination I choose for the category -> but for those I hope i will solve the problem once I will activate sh404sef
