August 1, 2012 at 8:09 pm #179582We have been using the Joomlart templates for several years and most of them are usefull (not all !!) for us.
Now with Joomla 2.5.6 and Vituemart 2.0.8e it is time to upgrade our older JL1.x/VM1.x sites. We had expected that image zoom would be part of this new JA Vintas template…. and had hoped for the Add to cart button on the main virtuemart screen and at the categories screen (http://joomla25-templates.joomlart.com/ja_vintas/virtuemart/all-pages/all-categories/for-men.html). Maybe wished for that the Slideshow would show products.
Examples zoom: http://www.magictoolbox.com/magiczoom/modules/virtuemart/ or http://www.flexiblewebdesign.com/flexible-virtuemart-zoom-effect-on-product-page-demoBut all we got is a basic virtuemart template, nothing fancy, nothing new.
This is not what we are used to getting from Joomlart.
Are there plans for image zoom, slideshow with virtuemart products and the add to cart option ?

August 2, 2012 at 5:04 am #462932Hi kernel64,
Thanks for the love for JoomlArt Templates, these above features as you mentioned come from the 3rd party extensions, you could make use of them by installing these 3rd party extensions while using our template. About the add to cart option, you like it appearing in category page but other users love it only in product details page, our design is first step for you to start in building your site and you can do some customization with your desired way.
Regards.

August 2, 2012 at 7:53 am #462954We understand that we can use those extensions and in some cases we will.
Joomlart does Joomla, Magento and Drupal themes which means they do not (yet) create specific Virtuemart themes.Found a great Virtuemart theme which does not change anything from the joomla theme you are using.
So for now, we will use http://www.flexiblewebdesign.com/Virtuemart-Templates/FlexibleMart-Virtuemart-2-template for the webshop part.Hopefully Joomlart will see this new market opportunity and expand their business by adding Virtuemart themes to the products they sell.
