    Hello!

    Ive done a fresh install of Fubix for joomla 2.5 (quickstart) and there is no “configuration.php” file in the downloaded files. In the installation shows a warning that suggest I should upload that later. Ok, so I installed it anyway and in the last step Joomla shows a code to copy and paste, as the new “configuration.php” so I do that and set the permissions that should be. So…. when i go to the Global Configuration and make any change, a legend appears: “Could not save data. Error: Could not write to the configuration file” and is not a Host problem, cause im using the same host as always… And If I want to change the file directly from the FTP (using edit online function) and save after change, the file automaticaly undo all changes like if I never changed anything.

    Ive re-installed it four times and nothing! I had the same problem a few years ago, and the solution was to change the template in a new-fresh-install, but this time im using a paid one and I want a solution (like having the configuration.php in the first place).

    I dont want to screw my .htaccess or enable FTP cause this cause so many security issues.

    Im attaching my Host System Information:

    Hi Daniella,

    Thank you for sharing your problems with us. Generally, the “configuration.php” is generated only after quickstart installation finishs, not in downloaded files. In addition, I downloaded & installed our JA Fubix quickstart on both my localhost and demo hosting , it worked fine, I didn’t face the same missing file error as you mentioned.

    “Could not save data. Error: Could not write to the configuration file” – The reason: The configuration.php file is set 444 permission which don’t allow you to edit/overwrite this file. So, you need to set 644 permission to this file via File Manager in your Cpanel account to solve this issue.

    Hi nsca,

    You can copy my attached configuration.php file to the root path of your server. Then open this file & find lines:

    public $dbtype = 'mysql';
    public $host = 'localhost';
    public $user = 'test';
    public $password = 'test';
    public $db = 'test_test';
    public $dbprefix = 'jed352_';

    Change with your website info. Don’t forget to inform me your result.

    Didnt work, the only way I can make any change is setting 777 permissions in the configuration.php

    Hi Danielle,

    I already finished to install our JA Fubix quickstart on your server. Some hosting providers don’t support install Joomla directly on the server so that maybe you got the problem. I installed this quickstart on my localhost first, then move all installed files into the server and import the database to corresponding tables on the phpmyadmin. The website will be fine then !

    Note: I included the new website’s credentials in my recent PM to you. Can you check it now and reply me to make sure that everything is fine on your website ?
