I am trying to install and customize the JADirectory template on my site, but am running into a few issues. The biggest is that I am now missing the main search bar from the front page and don’t know how to add it. This is a key feature to my site.

I am also trying to change the color scheme to meet our needs and after changing the top background color to white, the menu items are also in white and I can’t see them anymore. I have been unable to find where to customize this.

Finally, I can’t figure out how to remove the Login button in the top right corner.

    Thanks!!

It is a bit of a pain to install a quick start package as a reference. I would rather do this as a last resort since I used the QuickStart package to install this site and am having the issue.

Can you tell me the module name for the search? Also, which position it SHOULD be in on the template?

    Thanks!!

    Hi @davejackson41

Stepping into this thread only to say that the search bar you are referring is the Ja K2 Filter and Search component and it is not available from the quickstart package since it is part of the JAEC Membership.
So to have it you should be a JAEC Member

Please take a look at the blog post HERE

Thanks for your help with this. I have now purchased the extension, but have a couple more questions…

    1. The Google Map is not appearing when I do a search
    2. I need to modify the style on the search box (change color, height, width). How do I do this?

    Thanks!!
