When I intall the component and go to it, it gives me this error and I’m unable to do anything:

Warning: mkdir() [function.mkdir]: Permission denied in /home/girdvainis/domains/xxxxxxxxx.eu/public_html/mindaugas/administrator/components/com_jaextmanager/lib/config_joomla.php on line 33

Any clues how to solve it?

    Dear mynde,

The component is not able to create the repository folder in the root of your site. You need to set the CHMOD permissions accordingly. However, at the same time, be careful even after you cross this problem. As JA Extensions Manager depends heavily on the Files and Folder permissions for taking backups and for upgrading / rollbacks.
Good CHMOD should result in 755 for Directories and 644 for the Files.

I would suggest taking backup, before you try it on your server. Its a server problem.

    Hi
As your error showed. Look like by somehow chmod can’t executeable on your server .
Would you mind give me your FTP / back-end access for checking ?

    Hi
I don’t know if you can contact your hosting provide to remove chmod function out of functions disabled list in php.ini ? Because i’ve just checked and googled, this function be disabled will make this trouble 🙂 I’m trying to find out if we can do another way, but you can try from your side first.
    Thank you
