I am trying to display mobile ads on my site (320×50). However, the gutter of 30 px cuts part of the ad.

If I remove the gutter, it looks good on mobile but on desktop, the whole layout breaks.

Also, is there a way to disable caching on banners.
Once the page is cached, it display desktop ads to mobile modules, and does not respect the assignment of modules. This gets fixed as soon as I clear the cache.

Did you use CSS to remove that gutter?

You can use media queries to apply that css change for mobile only, so that it doesn’t affect other view ports.
