Is it possilbe to link the mod h3 to an outside site? Truth is, the client wants the bg img to link to an outside source. Anyone have any ideas about this one?
Thanks,

September 26, 2009 at 1:21 am #318621You could set the Show Title to NO and place your own (linked) H3 title at the top of the module content.
Linking a bg image is not possible.
September 26, 2009 at 1:47 am #318624I didn’t think it was possible to link a bg img. But, I had to ask.
Your idea is a good one. Now, I just have to figure out how to add it to the module that I’m using. This isn’t a custom HTML mod. It’s a twitter mod.

September 26, 2009 at 8:26 am #318653In that case you could load the Twitter module inside a customHTML module using the ‘loadposition’ function.
So your custom HTML would look like…
<h3><a src=”http:www.link.com” alt=”link alt text”>My Module Title</a></h3>
{loadposition pos_name}
Instructions on how to use the loadposition plugin here…
September 27, 2009 at 2:50 pm #318780This is good in theory. But, it doesn’t seem that {loadposition user_pos} works within a module. I use it frequently in content – no problem. However, it didn’t go with this suggestion. Thanks for the effort. Any other ideas?

September 27, 2009 at 4:02 pm #318784Oh?? I always thought you could.
OK. I have another suggestion then. I sometimes use an extension to place HTML in menu titles like superscripting the word NEW on a new product or something. I think it can also place a link around it. What it does is it gives you the ability to place BB codes (like here in the forum) around ANY content ANYWHERE in Joomla.
So, you would type your modules title like TITLE HERE.I’m almost certain it will work. You can get the extension here.. http://yurivolkov.com/Joomla/yvBBCode/index_en.html (please don’t let the authors homepage put you off! it really is a great extensions)
Edit: Just checked… it will work. Even with Cufóned titles.1 user says Thank You to scotty for this useful post
