August 22, 2008 at 11:33 pm #132521I noticed that the images in the spotlight module (mod_ja_catslwi) are not being resized (into thumbnails) like they did before the version 1.5.5 update.
Next, I uninstalled the newer mod_ja_catslwi and installed the older mod_ja_catslwi. The older one does make the thumbnail but the new version does not.
Please Advise,
Jeff

August 25, 2008 at 6:17 pm #267172Hainn84,
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the template and the same problem happens, I am pretty sure that it is something with Teline II 1.5.5
Thanks

August 26, 2008 at 2:25 pm #267398Hi Cornelio,
I simply replaced the helper.php file and the spotlight module began resizing the image the way it should. 🙂
There are many changes in the revised replaceImage() function.

I know directcorrespondentlender,
That is why I want to know the specific codes that were changed. I asked this because I have another helper.php change, and it is a different problem:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/bug-hot-topic-title-showing-but-no-intro-text/
It is solved now, but I do not know whether the fix for your question and mine, are incorporated. It appears to be.
There are other features that I may want to change, for example, if I want to randomize the article, I add another custom code change suggested by Hainn here:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/mod_ja_catslwi-display-random-articles/
If the latest helper.php has a random featute, as shown in the code above, but if the code is not shown, then you cannot customize the helper.php.
Different people want different things sometimes. So, it is good to know the code changes so that each one will customize the needed file, as they wish. Check this for other more significant uses:
