July 29, 2008 at 7:55 pm #131498Hi,
I’m using mod_ja_slideshow at the top of the center column of my Home page to control two images which I want to fade between. It’s working in most browsers fine, but in IE6 it is pushing the mod_virtuemart_latestprod module down to the bottom of the right column and off the right edge of the fixed width design and down ,underneath the items in my center column (mod_janews, etc.).
Also, when the Home page loads, the word “script>” is displaying in the upper right corner of the page above the page AND instead of being centered in the browser window, the page is against the left side of the window.
When I un-publish the mod_ja_slideshow module, the problems go away.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,

July 29, 2008 at 8:03 pm #262935Note that in mod_ja_slideshow, I have the slide width set to 531 and slide height set to 173. And the template width is set to “wide” (1024 x 768). Percent of animation is set to 100, and Percent Zoom Effect is also set to 100. Effect is “Linear”
I have to parameters set (one for each image) as follows:
slideshow_find.jpg:url=/component/option,com_fabrik/Itemid,83/
slideshow_sell.jpg:url=/component/option,com_fabrik/Itemid,84/They link to two different form pages.

August 1, 2008 at 3:18 pm #263446Hi Hainn84,
Thanks for you interest…
URL sent separately in a pm.
Site isn’t live yet…Again, this problem is only occurring in IE 6 on Windows. It has to do with the two images at the top of the center column (Find Used Equipment/Sell Your Equipment) which I have set up in a mod_ja_slideshow module that is published only on the Home page.
When I unpublish the module, the problem dissappears. Do you think it is a IE6 padding bug? Any suggestions on how to solve it would be appreciated. Thanks,

August 7, 2008 at 2:05 pm #264324To resolve the issue with the right column being pushed down under the center column in IE6, I resized the mod_ja_slideshow image(s) from 531 px to 528 px wide. Fortunately, in my layout, having a slightly narrower image image did not impact the design.
As far as the text “script>” which appeared in the upper right corner upon initial loading of the page, I got rid of the mod_ja_slideshow module entiredly and am using the mod_s5_imagefader module from http://www.shape5.com, instead.
Though this didn’t solve whatever was causing the errant text from a coding perspective, using the other module got me where I needed to be — to having a funtioning site that my client can launch.
