November 27, 2010 at 10:50 am #156828I just installed the real estate demo & find that there is no Find A House module as in the Demo.
I created a demo site using Demo Builder & see that this site is not the real estate demo but the templates for sale demo using the same Portfolio template. http://joomweb.com/ja_portfolio_0083 This has a front page module in the Find a House position that is actually mod_jak2_filter & named Find a Template.
Where can I download the module so that I can have a quickstart or website that is the same as the JA Portfolio demo?

It is JA K2 Search & Filter Module which is NOT complimentary under JA Portfolio as described at the intro article: http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/templates/ja-portfolio. In fact, it belongs to JAEC extension club and as a JATC standard member you need to pay extra $40 only (orginally $50)
After you pay for JAEC membership, you can download the extension at: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/downloads.php?do=cat&id=372

November 29, 2010 at 10:29 am #364663There are other minor extensions e.g. JA Bookmark or JA Extensions Manager that are also listed on http://www.joomlart.com/joomla/extensions but are freely available when you download a Quickstart of a template or these extensions are available among the template download files. I can perhaps understand why you want to charge extra for a large component like JA Voice or JA Comment but an extra $40 or $50 for just one little search module is way too expensive. It is also contrary to the normal Joomla Art practice as normally we can replicate the demo site on our own server with all necessary extensions provided.
Is this the new way forward with all new extensions that JA develop for use in their templates? That we only get them if we pay to be Extension Club members as well as Template Club members? I don’t even recall there was an Extensions Club when I first started using JA templates & I got all extensions that were necessary without paying extra.

November 29, 2010 at 11:47 am #364672The Extenstions club has been around for a very long time. There have always been extensions that were only available to its members. In the past there have been times when modules that should have been part of the JAEC have been given away with the templates but it is not always the case. Yes, this is a small extension but a very good one and $40 for access to a large and rapidly growing number of extensions (including JA voice which is now included with those) is a very small price.
