December 7, 2010 at 5:47 am #157138I have run into this problem before, and I’m wondering if there isn’t something wrong with the installation file, but here goes….
When the front page loads, there is just a “broken image” icon where the ja_slideshow2 should be.
I have already set permissions on the stories/slideshow/ directory and subdirectory to 777. The image files have also been set to 777.
The website is located at: http://www.portislaw.com
Here is the site info:
Database Version: 5.0.45
Database Collation: utf8_general_ci
PHP Version: 5.2.6
Web Server: Apache/2.2.3 (CentOS)
Web Server to PHP interface: apache2handler
Joomla! Version: Joomla! 1.5.22 Stable [ senu takaa ama woi ] 04-November-2010 18:00 GMT
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_6_5; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.7 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/7.0.517.44 Safari/534.7By the way, I am also having the exact same problem with ja_slideshow2 at http://www.russellhudson.com, using the JA Rave template.
Thank you for any help you can give me. I’m under a little pressure to get this thing running so that I can complete the development.

December 8, 2010 at 2:24 am #365686Check your path to the images, as it is currently set to:
<img alt="EndWar Exclusive Theater of War Hands-On " src="http://www.portislaw.com/">
…which is why you see the alt text there and not the images. 😉

But that is not the image path as defined in the module. In the module it is correctly shown as “images/stories/slideshow”.whamprod Friendwhamprod
