April 25, 2009 at 5:48 pm #302531Mina…would have to see the page with the RSS-Feed in place to be able to tell you exactly what you need to do. Got a URL?

April 25, 2009 at 6:33 pm #302540Ah…now I understand what you are trying to do.
And I’m afraid I’m going to have to defer to others here.
I’m still cutting my teeth on the RSS thing…in fact I’m still trying to get an answer on how to add a margin between the image and the copy so the words don’t slam up against the picture in sort of a 1999-ish look.Sorry. Hope others can help as I’d love to know as well.

April 25, 2009 at 6:46 pm #302544Couple of things I’ve come across:
The RSS feed output in Joomla is controlled by: COMPONENTS > COM_CONTENT > VIEWS > CATEGORY > view.feed.php
And from what I can tell…there is no way to have the image resized automatically between the Joomla instance and the output.
But…and I’m just thinking out loud here…I’m wondering if we can work around this by taking our Joomla RSS feed and giving it to some other service like Feedburner or Feedforall which might be able to make such modifications on the fly…and then use that RSS link as the one we promote.Just some thoughts.

April 25, 2009 at 6:59 pm #302548Hey!
This looks promising…
http://www.hummerbie.com/joomla-components/joomla-rss-feed-with-ds-syndication.html
and this…
http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/content-&-news/rss-syndicate/6392/detailsIt doesn’t appear as though either allows for resizing the image…but they do allow for you to turn off the image…which might be useful.
