Seems I’m the oldest person on the forum :((

Ah well, experience can be a good thing I guess! Plus, I’m still happy to help out our French forum members.

Well, I am a good second place, with my 44 years. But you know what they say about men, they are getting more handsome when they get older 😉 and more experienced too, of course. 😎

But to age and experience, uhuhuh, there are some who really make a difference to that phrases like “age means experience or age brings wisdom…”:((

What I see of people that are just one year older or 10 years younger than I am and have to clap themselves on their shoulders with a “what I already gone through, wow, wow” daily, in and out and smile like they really mean this serious. Than you got the “old guys” who still act like they were minors….:D AND I really do not mean all those famous politicians out there…;)

But, from what I see in here in the forum, you may make a difference to those guys and I think here indeed some more who are “older” already…

But to come back to the original topic, I hope that this idea will become reality indeed…!😉

LoL …. I probably said that at 25 too 😀

Good to see some general banter here … that’s what the forum needs.

Not to take anything away from the initial subject, I think we can help people with a language problem.

Last two templates from JA have been good, support improving, forum improving, let’s go for it and make 2009 a great year here.

Maybe we should ask Hung to set up a ‘General Chit Chat’ section for members? 😉

I’m happy to report that my lovely wife says I’m 46 going on 18 😀

Now that is a good idea. It will certainly help this community to gel better and be more of a community.

I’d like to share a joke or two with you all without hijacking threads and completely drifting away from what the initial poster has posted.

there have been a thread about creating a chat room for JA members, wich could be used for chit chat and support. If i remember correctly there where only positive remarks on that.

    It just never happend.:((

    hmmm…..

just added a poll in the general questions section. don’t know if that would help to boost the chances of a room getting put together.

One other point, I just see you all have your location and age public and where I just had to hear a “Oh I already have cashed your bill in, young man…you are too late to give me this change…” where I finally shaved my beard away just before I went to the grocery store, I think I also should make that public.:D How some shaved face can make one look like 18 again…;) That made me stop thinking and I left the grocer without any comment and good bye….Weird!:-[

???… I don’t know what you’re on but you should share it! 😀

Yes it is. I thought that was what the J!Share forum was for but just not used much.

Me neither, but sounded fun. I haven’t had a shave in ten days, minus 15 degs here so frozen pipes and no running water in the house.
    :((

I think a new section nothing Joomla or JoomlArt related, where we can discuss jokes, motorcycles, music and all other nonsense!
    🙂

I’m up for it if JA will allow it.

Oh, if I would live where bennitos comes from, with respect to all those other remarkable aspects about holland I certainly would have rather taken a walk to the next coffeshop and would have enjoyed the benefits of a more peace related society;)…..;)

But honestly, I am not on anything, just some more or less funny aspect of having some fountain of youth, must be the weather, I keep it like Sinatra and Bennett and blame it one the weather, nice snow, not too cold, all white and so I was called a young man today just because I use to take care of my face skin… Even some positive aspect but it was weird to be called some young man when I last heard something like this 10 years ago…;)

And to the chit chat issue, I do not know if Joomlart.com is the right place to have chit chats, maybe join TemplatePlazza.com,:D, there is a chit chit section as most members are younger than here and I rather like to see the language “deal” get going than some chit chat section taking place. When both would become real, okay, but I certainly do not prefer some chit chat corner when it comes to some serious issue like the language aspects.:)

But okay, when you wonna know some chit chat… I just found a CD from ten years ago a few days ago. And this music is perfect for Motorsports, Bikes, Cars and fast and furious lifestyle.

Checkt out OFFSPRING and the Album SMASH, comes from a time where it was more rock than punk and the songs 1/2, 5, 6, 9, 10 and of course songs 12, 13, 14….

This will blast your brain away and the perfect sh** for Turbos and burníng wheels….

This is not my YT Video Stock but check it out or you know those songs already…>:(

Ok, this is definately something we could consider if we can get the people to do it I am sure we could get something organised.

I’ll have to check with Hung and if he’s happy with it I will try implementing this through a trial run and go from there.

I thought I would post in this thread again as today I encountered a situation which would backup the theory of wooohanetworks that Language Specialists can improve the JA Forum for everybody.

Here’s the history … one of our Registered Members (victortopper) who is French had a problem with Telline II (he speaks limited English, but not enough to convey the entire problem). Whilst I could help to translate the actual problem into English, I couldn’t actually solve it.

However, another helpful member here, anisjolly, did know the answer and therefore could respond to my translation of the problem in English.

I then translated anisjolly’s response into French and … hey presto! Problem solved.

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/registration-problem-3/

Perhaps there is some mileage in wooohannetworks proposal that merits further discussion between JA staff and people on the forum that are bi-lingual and willing to take on the task of helping or translating for other members that aren’t fluent in English?

    Chris
