What particular element of JA tabs are you trying to modify and are you using Joomla 1.5 or Joomla 1.6?

The css for those is in plugins>content>ja_tabs>ja.tabs.css

To increase the actual heigh of the title boxes go into the module manager and in the ja_tabs module look in the advanced paramaters section for “Tabs Title Height” and adjust as required.
