March 28, 2016 at 10:51 am #905431As you can see from the attached image, I’ve already changed some content in these positions but am, in large part, completely confused as to how this works (especially the "Read More" button ).
I’ve gone through the documentation page but am not finding this info. Can you please point me to a link where I can become completely familiar with how these positions work?
As always, thanks for your help.
PS: Could you please also tell me about this "Choose a domain" message I keep getting? What is a "support domain"? What I’ve been doing is adding my website address as the domain (http://satreeipc.school/) under "Select Domain > Add New Domain", but when I submit the ticket, I always get "ERROR: Please provide a valid url" message – but the ticket is submitted. Is not http://satreeipc.school/ a valid url?

March 28, 2016 at 11:20 am #905453Thanks for that info.
I can find this module, but did not look in "Filtering".
What I want to do is create an article where the intro text resides in, say, position 1, has a read more button (I can do this in the article), and on the frontend, the user clicks the Read More button and it jumps to the article.
What I can do so far:
- Make a menu that’s placed in position-1
- Create an article with a "Read More" button (using JCE)
- Add the article to the menu
What happens:
- The "Read More" button is not visible
- The intro text is not visible
- The article title is visible and when clicked, jumps to the article
Thanks again pavit

March 28, 2016 at 3:11 pm #905715Hi
What you want to obtain is exactly what is already into demo site
All article settings are made through articles options
So you can set as global options ifShow read more
Show intro-text
disable link from article title

March 28, 2016 at 9:25 pm #905877I’ve tried that, but it doesn’t seem to work for some reason (please see attachments).
- Global Config > Articles > Show Intro Text = show
- Global Config > Articles > Show "Read More" = show
- The Article has "Read More" embedded
- Menu is in position-1 and links to article
- Home page shows the title of the menu but does not show article title, intro text, or "Read More"

March 29, 2016 at 5:57 am #906022Hi
I’m confused now on what you want to achieve, i thought you want to modify articles in position 1-2-3-4
Seems indeed you want to add a new row below position 1-2-3-4I correctly understood ? if you want this then you can add new spotlight block positions below 1-2-3-4 let’s say 5-6-7-8 and replicate module articles category above.
Let me know if you want to do this
also edit your first post adding a temp super user account to your website so i can better take a look at your settingschrisswift Friendchrisswift

March 30, 2016 at 2:55 am #906472What I want to do is what you first mentioned – I really like the look and feel of content in positions 1-4. All I want to do is:
- modify the content (text and image) – I can do this already, and
- make the already visible "Read More" button link to the article (I can’t figure this out).
I don’t care about the menu I put on there under the template pos-1 content. That was just an experiment to see what happens. I’ll be deleting that.

March 30, 2016 at 6:06 am #906516Hi
I think you can install another component or module for what you are asking
Maybe JA Accordion Module could help, take a look HERE
You can add to it image – text – and read more and publish it into position-1-2-3-4
This is the solution can simulate a graphic menu

April 1, 2016 at 11:19 am #907990I’m afraid my account doesn’t have permission to download JA Accordion. But anyway, I’m more than happy with what’s there – all I can’t figure out is how to link the "Read More" button to the article.
Right now, the button links to an article called "About T3 Framework". I can modify this article to suit my needs, but the "read more" button does not jump to this article when clicked. The button links to satreeipc.school/index.php/87-layouts/144-about-t3-framework.
I don’t understand what 87-layouts is but I’m sure it’s not that important because I do know where the "About T3 Framework" article is.
Again, the "Read More" button does not go anywhere. I’m thinking it’s probably set up like "<a href="#">" or something. So all I need to know is how to link the button to the article

Hi there
The article belongs to the category named layouts such category has as id 87 and if you open the read more it opens the specific article , actually it opens in the home because you removed the menu item showing that articles menu item Explore submenu item Layouts ( look HERE for the demo page showing it )
So you will need to create a new category – add a menu item for such category – and then add your article to it with a read more then create or modify articles category module published in position-1 and select from settings your newly created category showing only 1 article.
everything will works as you need
Hope it helps

April 29, 2016 at 3:20 am #924251I fought with this for more than an hour but I think I got it!! I was right of the verge of writing the "I am hopelessly lost like a fly spinning in a spider’s web in complete disarray and confusion" post, but stayed with it. The embarrassing part? It’s not actually that confusing! Thanks again for all your help and guidance.
