I am re-building a site with Focus, I only want 3 modules in the footer, I disabled all the menu items and added my custom module to add some code. But it is cramped inside a little column.

So I went to the Template > Layout menu and selected 3 columns in the footer. But, the Main Menu that appeared below the main content is no longer horizontal, but vertical, inside Footer 1.

I tried to revert back to the default settings, but that menu stayed vertical. I would have expected that menu to be independent. How can I fix it? And, you are forced to use all columns?

    Thanks

    Hi
First, you need to change the module position size so the items will fit.
This documentation helps you to change the module position size from Joomla admin.
In demo the module is on footer-1
    Module position: footer-1
    Module Suffix: vertical-footer
