We are using JMS Multi-site which builds our slave sites. We uploaded the joomlart teline III quickstart installation into our master. This builds each slave correctly based on the sample_data.sql.

Our question. We have modified the out of the box teline III menu’s, sections, categories etc to more closely reflect how we want our slave sites genned, then dumped our mysql db and replaced the sample_data.sql data that came with teline III with our updated site definitions.

However we get an xml error reading the file during the slave db installation.

We could use some advice as to what we are doing wrong when we replace the teline III supplied sample_data.sql with our captured system.

At least you have to say what is the error (message). Or attach the modified sql file.
It seems that modified the sql file contains some errors (maybe typos).

The joomla installtion xml error was so vague I didn’t bother posting it…my bad 🙂 And as the mysql dump would import into a mysql db without a problem I discounted it was an actual sql problem. What I came up with is that the tempalte db (slave site) had the JMS Multisites component installed (master only). I uninstalled this component, redumped the db, replaced the sample_data.sql. Rebuilt the slave site and then ran the new sites Joomla installtion and it worked PERFECTLY!…Very happy man right now.

All the best to the JoomlArt community!
