December 24, 2010 at 3:15 pm #368491The parameters for text in the jaslideshow2 module are found in the module itself.
But if you are wanting to do something more…then drop us a URL so we can see where you are with your project and we can suggest changes to your CSS to get the affect you seek.Have fun!

December 24, 2010 at 3:45 pm #368497Yes, I ‘ve seen it
2 paramaters:
Title Max Length
Description Max Lengthbut whatever I changed it is a problem with long words, not one. It shows me 27 char. but not 30 and last word is more than 10 char.
And I have set a description max length on 125 and I’ve tried 250 but same problem nothing has changed.thanks and enjoy

December 25, 2010 at 5:11 am #368527I would love to help, but without seeing your site, I’m afraid I am unable to help further.
The JA_Rave Demo template contains only headlines at the bottom in the slideshow module…and I am not understanding how your are wanting to include a “right” side description.Please give us your URL…or PM me with it as I only have the Demo with which to reference your issue.
Thank you.

December 25, 2010 at 6:12 am #368529As I now understand your issue (from your PM note) the problem is that the HEADLINE of the Slideshow doesn’t stretch to the right to the control arrows as one might think it should.
To increase the amount of space you have for a HEADLINE before it drops to a 2nd line, do the following:
Goto /templates/ja_rave_/css/mod_jaslideshow2.css – LINE 72
And change the setting in RED below…
.maskDesc {
height:auto !important;
left:10px;
overflow:hidden;
top:255px;
width:500px !important;
z-index:5000;
This will allow text all the way up to the two control arrows on the right. giving headlines more room to breathe.
Allowing a headline to reach down to a second line, however tempting, is not good for your viewer. The module is designed to rotate at a standard pace viewers have come to subliminally accept. The problem with a two-line headline is that it would be too long to read and enjoy the image/graphic at this pace. Don’t confuse a catchy headline with a lead sentence. Viewers/readers come for the picture, not your words…just like Playboy magazine!
Have fun!
