September 24, 2011 at 10:30 pm #414746pavit … I think David is using the J1.7 version of Teline IV – thus this TELINE IV USER GUIDE is a bit more appropriate.
David – scroll down to the section 3.2.4 JA News Featured to learn more about this element.
Click on the Backend Settings link to see how it is configured in the demo.

As a matter of fact, I’m thinking THIS might be just what you need.(note – notice which template they used for their site? 😎 )

September 24, 2011 at 10:43 pm #414751Hi
I don’t know exactly wich module (if exists) can do that
but for the first impression i think that you could use the loadmodules plugin, so you can put an rss reader in your article

I’ll bet there’s another few (at least) out there … I am constantly finding new extensions/components (for Joomla) developers I never knew existed.duh_plumber Friendduh_plumber

September 25, 2011 at 2:52 am #414791Either Slideshow or Content Slider (be it ours or another). Looks like it would involve a lot of data entry and section/category creation for the various clips. The links can be created easily enough via html … I’m just not sure about how to go about configuring all of the different “cartoon strips” (to mimic the Yahoo feature you referenced) with either slideshow or content slider.
I’m sure it CAN be done … It’s just going to take some creative customization.
It’s an interesting idea, though – I’ll toss this around with the Support/Development folks.
(NOTE: Might be a day or so for substantive replies/suggestions – many off for the weekend). 😎

Not entirely sure . . . but the Joomla Extension Directory is a great resource to have bookmarked (for current/future reference) – as new extensions are constantly being added and updated.
