Hello
I am developing a site using the JA Business Template for joomla 2.5 and I have a problem with module assignment.
More specifically, there are modules that, even though I set them to only appear in the home page, they appear on other pages also.
For example I am using the JA Facebook Plugin Social – Recent Activity Module, position it on the right and specifically set it to appear only on the home page (I am doing it through the Menu Assignment section inside the module). After doing that the module still appears in the right position when I am opening an article.
I have the same problem with the JA Slideshow module and another news scroller module I placed in the right side. Is there any “global” setting that overrides the setting I make inside the module ? If not what may be wrong ?
Thanks in advance for your help

June 29, 2012 at 7:52 am #459284Hi testdeveppihirin,
i am not much sure But I think it’s just a caching issue, you can go to the template back-end >> Global tab you can try to disable caching at the field of Cache mode, I hope it would help, If not you can pm me the url, the admin account and The FTP info for further checking 🙂

The problem is that I can not find any cache mode option in the global tab of the template back-end.

July 2, 2012 at 3:27 am #459467HI testdevepihirin,
In your template back-end >> Global tab if you choose the field Enable Development Mode to No You would see that option. you should also try to turn off caching in the Joomla Global configuration.

The module still appears in the right position only when you were opening an article right ? It would not appears when you opened another menu item, there are nothing wrong here mate, when you were opening an article and there are no any menu items referring to this article or referring to the category it belong to then the article actually was opened at the homepage and still you saw the modules assigned to homepage appeared there, you can read my post here for more understanding.
I hope you got it !
