February 22, 2009 at 6:30 am #138423How do I create the different color boxes for the modules in the left and right columns like in the demo?
E.g. in the Classic style the 3 modules in the left column are green, pink and grey respectively, however the default color after installation is grey.
Any special module parameters I can apply, such as for Menu Class Sufix? Thanks for any help!

Just to clarify, are you saying that you installed the quickstart ( which is same as demo) then after installing the colours just show grey? or did you install the template only

Hi Christine,
To be able to use different colors for the modules, you go to the and look for Module Class Suffix. There you add “_hilite1 default” for green or “_hilite2 default” for violet. The Module Class Suffix is found either in Module parameters or Advanced Module parameters. I hope this is a help.
Good luck with the site.

February 22, 2009 at 4:38 pm #292864Sorry there, I mistyped something.
It said : you go to the and look for Module Class Suffix …..
but should say : you go to Extentions/Modules, find the module you want to change, and open for editing. Then look for Module Class Suffix …..

February 28, 2009 at 6:57 pm #293942For anybody else looking to change the left/right module colors, here are the Module Class Sufix parameters built into the css: “_hilite1 default”, “_hilite2 default” and “_default hilite1”. The last one changes the color of the title bar (rather than the entire module box).
I really think JA should do a better job in documenting templates. While these settings could be looked up once you install quickstart, not everybody has a need to install quickstart. The documentation needs to include all possible module parameters that the template accepts!
Thank you Sunrise and Shannon for your responses.

March 1, 2009 at 5:20 am #294000Hi Clampert, I agree. The templates are fine, for the most part, and there are things built into them, but it would be very helpful to have better documentation, clearly spelled out all the possibilities, parameters etc, wihout having to go look for it yourself.

You raise a good point Christine, The documentation is woeful, and being an online thing ( I can’t find anything in the dl sections for each template) a pain in the butt, I develop offline have a max 6gb per mth dl allowance, I’m on a wireless connection that I do not want to leave running 24/7. So I hate to connect to read a user guide that should come with the template.
Time JA wrote comprehensive guides on all templates and seperate guides on all ja extentions used in the whole range of templates, also commercial extensions. The use of cut and paste from template guide to template guide is unacceptable for a leading template developer
