I dont understand what is wrong with my module preview on home page. can somone tell what is wrong by looking at the site. All of the images are put in images/stories and the plugin is set to look there. In the module parameters, under the URL option i a have typed: B1.jpg, A1.jpg, B2.jpg, A2.jpg

The only image that will appear is A2.jpg.

    Hi gregr

Looking at the code it appears that the missing images are caused by the module looking to /home/ rather than /images/stories/ ?

This seems to be backed up by clicking on the missing image and the following error:

“Wrong image location. There is no image at httt://kitchenremodelbath.com/home/index.php”

This is again backed up by trying http://kitchenremodelbath.com/images/stories/B1.jpg which results in a 404 Not Found error.

Check the HTML in the module and make sure you have the full path name to /images/stories/ in front of each image. Then check your /images/stories/ directory to make sure the images are really there (they don’t seem to be at the moment).

    Good Luck!

Thanks Questbg.. but im still very confused. Everything at a setup standpoint looks good to me. I decided to start from scratch. I deleted all the images I was calling for the module.

    1. I created a new folder called gallery located in stories.
    2. I moved from my PC the following images to the gallery folder: kitchen-1.jpg, kitchen-2.jpg, garage-1.jpg, garage-2.jpg

    3. I changed the thumbnail location in the plugin to point to images/stories/gallery/
    4. I changed the Module parameters URL to : kitchen-1.jpg, kitchen-2.jpg, garage-1.jpg, garage-2.jpg

After all the changes I still only get one image to appear in the module from the home page.. As far as changing the Html for the module, I am unsure where to find that. I looked in the modules directory in my install for that module and could not find anything relevant

    See Website here: http://www.kitchenremodelbath.com/ek

Here are screens for what was explained above.

Well just a heads up.. I was not able to remedy this issue so i scrapped the whole thing including install. I decided to try the quick start method instead. All works great now! 🙂

I thought that I had it all fixed by doing a quick start install. Everything worked just fine. Then I deleted the Demo pictures from /stories/images/gallery/ and replaced them with my own. I made the necessary changes to the “New Idea” Module to present the pictures. (I even kept the same image naming schema from the quick install) Now I get nothing at all.

    Hi gregr

This is certainly something in the code somwhere!

Pointing at an image on my site give the following URL:

But if I do the same on your site, I get this for every image:

It seems that you’re using Joomla 1.0.x and I’m only familiar with 1.5.x so I’m afraid I’m not much help on this one as I don’t know the Joomla 1 admin side.

I am using Joomla 1.5.. i just did a 3rd installation of the quick start, And am having the same problem every time. If I add new photos to the /images/stories/gallery folder, and change the module URL to match photo names, It will then show red x boxes with the message httt://kitchenremodelbath.com/ek/index.php on click. httt? there is not such thing as httt????

Weird. Your Admin screengrabs look nothing like Admin, hence I assumed you were on Joomla 1. Give me afew minutes, I’ll grab my own shots of the same admin panels and post here to see if we can spot some difference!

am I also correct in saying that when i put images into /images/stories/gallery that thumbnails are automatically created in the /images/resized/images/stories/gallery folder after I type and apply them in the module URL section?

Ok, I just installed again, this time leaving everything intact. I added 1 image to the images/stories/gallery folder. Then I went into the “New Idea” module and added the image to the URL section. These are the only changes I made. There must be a break in this template/module that I purchased.

Hi gregr … this is possibly as frustrating for me as it is for you because the Highslide module you’re using with this template is nothing like the stuff I have with telline II template.

However, viewing your page source there’s certainly something wrong. Check out these 6 x bits of highslide code in your site, the first five seem fine … you’ll see that number 6 is really messed up and somehow contains bits of code for the original image and your new image:

    class="highslide" onclick="return hs.expand(this,{height:80,width:80,captionText:'',display:'show',captionId:'href_1237302850', slideshowGroup:'href_1237302850'});"><img src="/ek/images/resized/images/stories/gallery/gl-1_80_80.jpg" alt="images/resized/images/stories/gallery/gl-1_80_80.jpg" title="Click to enlarge" /></a><a id="thumb1" href="http://kitchenremodelbath.com/ek/images/stories/gallery/gl-2.jpg" style="padding-right:7px;"

I think it best to open a new ticket requesting JA Staff help and giving them full access to your back end, if this is a bug in the extension then it certainly needs fixing!

Sorry I couldn’t help you with this.

Ok, Issue not resolved. But joomlart tech support thinks differently. There is clearly a problem with the Module Highslide on my website from install. I got a response back from support and they closed my ticket. This is there response. Makes me wonder if they did any research at all???? >:(>:(>:(>:(>:(>:(>:(

    Dear Greg Robert,

First My sincere apologies to the support team. After more research myself, I found that my gimp application is saving files with double .jpg extentions.

For example, what I thought to be k1.jpg was in fact k1.jpg.JPG. Now i need to find out why Gimp is acting the way it is…5 years and first technical issue with gimp!;)

So now as you can see at http://kitchenremodelbath.com/ek everything is fine…. (so far):p

Thanks again for the help again my apologies and i’m sure this isnt the last time you will here from me! 😀
