Is there a way to make the module padding the same size as the main content page item padding?…See attachment..

You can open file: templates/ja_wall/css/template.css
At approx line 1003 (maybe different in your file), there should be code:
#aside .moduletable-inner {
margin: 10px; <<< change to your desired value
