    Hi,

I guess I am showing how new I am to all of this with the question I am about to ask. I have just loaded this template and I don’t seem to be able to find an easy way to move (or show!) the modules on my site. I know about publishing them and then selecting them in the dropdown list, but I don’t have 8,9 or any of the other ones available to me in the dropdown list. Could someone please help me?

    Thanks,
    Janita

    Hi Janita,

Go to the backend of your website. Go to: Site – Preview – Inline with Positions.

By the way, welcome to JoomlArt and Joomla. An excellent choice. 😉

    Kind Regards,
    Peter.

    Hi Peter
I came across swemmels request just by chance- incredible. Despite the fact that I am dealing with joomla for several months now, I didnt know that the preview/inline with Positions function even exists. My conclusion: JAs forum is a superb source of information and Middas note that your team is starting to provide video tutorials is encouraging. There are so many tricks and little secrets to learn which could be shown in a tutorial…
BTW: I have still no clue as how to position Teline left and how to add background banner space. Do I have to move my question to anaother thread- originally, I posted it in teline?

    Kind regards
    zorcolino

    Hi Peter,

Thank you very much for the advice, it has helped a great deal! However, I am still at a point where I have no idea how to activate the user8 and user9 module positions. Maybe I am not expressing myself in the correct technical terms and therefore confusing the issue. Suffice to say that my front page and the demo front page are vastly different from each other and I have published and unpublished till I am blue in the face and nothing seems to be happening. Short of me following the advice that I have read somewhere about adding the php line about the mos_module to the index file (which I might have done in a previous version) I have no idea what to do.

Thank you very much for the welcome, I just recently started working fulltime again and could afford the subscription. I am happy to be here.

I have been playing around with the installation the whole day and I seem to have solved the module position problem. Now I am just hunting down the color.

    😀
