October 14, 2008 at 6:24 pm #134406Hello!
Looking at the template’s module positions here:
http://www.joomlart.com/images/stories/ja_rutile/ja_rutile/
I don’t see where some of the positions listed in your XML file get placed. I’ve tried assigning content to the items but it doesn’t appear. Just wondering if I’m missing something…
hornav – where is this?
banner – I believe this is on bottom but it’s not listed as to where in relation to User 1, 2, 5 or 6.
top – Seems obvious but no content displays when I choose this.
topsl – No idea.
user7, 8, 9 – No idea where these are.
syndicate – Can’t find this either.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

October 14, 2008 at 6:40 pm #275263Because you may have all these user positions in your user manager does not mean all those positions are needed or that they are on the template you are using, they could be left from other templates you have used.
The template you are looking at has 10 user positions all are listed.

October 14, 2008 at 6:42 pm #275264Thank you and I understand that, but I’m going by the Rutile template’s XML file which lists the available positions.
I figured if they were listed there then they must have a home on the template. I just can’t seem to find them all. If they are listed in the XML but not used, that’s fine, I just want to make sure I’m not losing out on available positions. 🙂

October 14, 2008 at 7:45 pm #275269to put your mind at rest why not try to assign something to one of these positions…yes I know nothing will happen because this template does not have these positions but at least you will know for sure. 🙂

October 15, 2008 at 1:24 am #275318That’s exactly what I did, thus the reason for my post. 🙂 I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something because I felt if they were in the XML file then that must mean they are on the template. I guess that isn’t the case but thanks for the clarification.
