Is there anyway to make these modules hyperlinks? And what file/line can I reference for adding colored backgrounds? Thanks for the help, very new at this.

You could make a hyperlinks in your module content. To make the module have color background, you only need to add the to module class suffix parameter value: -blue, -orange or -green
