February 13, 2011 at 10:54 pm #160148Hi!
When I log in from front end in Purity, modules on the left side (in IE6) re-position under the article, still on the left side. In Firefox and Safari, no such problem except that the article expands beneath the modules to the right. I understand this probably has something to to with the CSS layout and the width of the article editor. I just don’t know where to start digging. Please take a look at the screenshots. The screen in Explorer is in two parts because of limited screen area. Thanks for any help!
Matt

February 13, 2011 at 10:59 pm #376508JA only provide limited support for IE6. Please use a decent browser as IE6 should have been resigned to the scrap heap in the sky many moons ago. You are running into one of the many quirks of that browser. Are things OK in IE7/8?

February 13, 2011 at 11:03 pm #376510Haven’t been able to test in IE7/8 yet but I will, hopefully it will be better there. Do you have any idea about the right hand trouble (in Safari and Firefox) with the article stretching underneath the modules?
Thanks!

February 13, 2011 at 11:35 pm #376515That is because the editor takes up so much width there is nowhere for the modules to go. How often do people edit the site and does it really cause a problem when editing? If so your only option would be to reduce the width of your editor which could make things harder for you.

February 13, 2011 at 11:43 pm #376517In this case there will be a handful of unexperienced publishers messing around there 😉 It might cause trouble, therefore limit the article width might be the way to go. It’s in the template.css I find all the goodies right?
