January 2, 2010 at 7:54 pm #147263Hi there,
I am posting here as I am a newly signed up member and am starting a new site using JA Quartz:
http://174.120.168.155/~baring/I used the QuickStart to install the site on my server, everything went great. Put my menus and started playing with the design, still no problem.
However, as soon as I start trying to put in the image modules (JA Slideshow 2, JA highslide, JA tab) something goes terribly wrong and it makes my whole backend crash. This has happened with several separate modules. No more tool bars, issues with the modules page, basically nothing working. I got a load of obscure SQL changes to do, but the more I tried to do something the more commands it was telling me so I gave up and started from scratch, as the DB seemed corrupted. Having done everything again, I had the same issues (please see screenshot of the bugged module page). At least I did a joomlapack the second time. Third time round, same problems.
I could not get the modules working like in the demo, and all the images from the UserGuide topic don’t seem to display, which doesn’t make things any easier. After a few different settings, I just get these SQL issues and cannot operate my backend at all. I am perhaps putting the wrong modules in the wrong places, with wrong settings. But still, I do not think it should mess up the whole site.
Any ideas as to where it is all coming from? Where can I find complete doc about the template and modules?
Thank you in advance for any help.
Louis

I have tried to login your ftp account but it is incorrect.
For your issue, please try to do with my way:
+ open your database, find jos_modules table and repair it.

January 6, 2010 at 1:58 pm #328461Hi JA Developper,
Thank you, fixing the Database does seem to have done the trick for now!
Regarding the documentation (missing images on the UserGuide topic), is there anywhere I can get it?
Also, I cannot access the module forums. I understand that I am not part of the extensions club and cannot download all JA extensions, but surely I should be able to access the forums for the extensions included in the template I am using? For instance, I am having trouble with JA Tabs, it is just displaying code with the {*} and not the module itself.
Thanks again, have a nice day
Louis

January 27, 2010 at 8:26 pm #330656Hi Traytray,
I fixed the DB directly through the PhpMyAdmin interface. I did it once and never had an issue again.
Hope this helps.
