June 30, 2010 at 9:20 am #152167I’ve recently upgraded to Teline III 1.4.1 and now modules in position mega-item (member, syndication etc) no longer show.

July 1, 2010 at 9:40 pm #348711I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. The JA Mega Menu Module is installed in mega-menu position to display the mega menu on all pages in the mega-item position. The modules Member, Twitter and Syndication are installed in mega-item posiition, again to be displayed on all pages, but none of them are displayed.

July 5, 2010 at 3:49 am #348928hello andrewwinkler !
If you use the lastest version, the ja mega menu module is not used, menu items are controlled by megamenu., you try to go to the menu manger and check all menu items in the topmega group again.
Thanks

July 5, 2010 at 7:40 am #348953Hello,
@tienhc: in case of the new Mega Menu options in template version 1.4.1 your answers have been very incomplete, as of other members of J.O.O.M Staff. Joomlart has updated this template in a very usefull way because now it is possible to use menu-type MegaMenu in main navigation. At the same time the way the former Mega Menu module in top-right corner of template must be set up different now. A new manual for that is needed: users must install an extra plugin plg_jamenuparams, and set up a new menu topmega.
Users can study correct configuration in Quickstart package, but this has a bug, as I have written a few times in different posts.@andrewwinkler
So: to get the menu in top-right corner working again the following steps are to be taken:
– install extra plugin plg_jamenuparams and publish it; download here
– set up a new menu called topmega; let it stay on position left, and not published; it’s working that way.
– now one best can study how to configure a menu item with the extra parameters group Parameters (JA Extended) in the manual for Ja Purity II free template It needs special configuration.I hope this helps, good luck,
Micrantha1 user says Thank You to micrantha for this useful post

July 5, 2010 at 11:24 am #348991Thanks for that. I’m still stuck though.
1. I’ve downloaded, installed and enable the plugin.
2. I’ve defined a menu ‘topmega’ in the Joomla menu manager.
3. In the module manager, I set the location for the the ‘topmega’ menu module to ‘left’ and disabled it as you said. The mega items are still not displayed.
Questions:
1. Which parameters do I have to enter in the module manager for the ‘topmega’ menu?
2. Which parameters do I select for the mega items that I want to be displayed in the mega menu?micrantha Friendmicrantha

July 5, 2010 at 12:00 pm #348996Hello,
You can follow the examples in manual here, as I wrote. Or do a local installation of Quickstart package to look up the configurations.
When for example you want the login-module to show in top-right menu:
– In menu manager you open menu topmega
– Set up a new menu-item; select Menu Item Type Separator
– give it a name, than open Parameters (JA Extended)
– scroll down, and set “Submenu Content” to Modules
– in dropdownlist “Select Modules” you select your login module (called “Members” in quickstart installation)
( set “Show title” to Yes; “Columns” to 1; “Group” to No)Hopefully it works now.
regards,

July 5, 2010 at 12:16 pm #349001Hello,
When you installed plg_jamenuparams and published it, you will see this extra set of parameters when you configure a menu item: below Parameters (Advanced)
