I tried to install Joomla 1.5.7 and set Ja_Purity theme as default. A problem has occurred when I browse demo site in Internet Explorer 6.0. All modules moved to the bottom of the left and right columns (In Firefox, it appears well).

I includes image file for references.

And the links to my demo site:

Please browse in the IE 6.0 to see the error that I said.

Anyone let me know what errors has occurred and how to repair this problem.

    Thanks a lot !

I´m having the same problem in IE6 with the left hand mosules.

I have searched here and where the issue seems to have been resolved the moderator has moved the post but not kept a link or anything. Doesn’t make sense. I am surprised this is their competition template and it isn’t working and there isn’t much support.

I have used quite a few of their commercial templates and normally recommend them

I have searched Joomla forums too but no luck.

    Anyone?

    Hi silver007,

I have looked your website and could not find your issue.
I think this issue only appears in your browser. You try to check your website with other computer.

If not, please send me the screenshots?

I dont think Silver is the only one having this problem. I have used another computer using IE6 with the JA purity template and the front page layout doesnt appear to work. No problem with IE7 or Mozilla or Firefox.
Have moved to using another template, which is a pity as Purity is otherwise very neat.

    HI,

Im not the only person with this problem as there are lots of post complaining of the same thing. Have you not seen them???

It is a couple of friends who are telling me the ie6 problem and I also use a couple of tools online that can render an image. I have attached a scn shot.

The “header1 (2&3)” images are not displaying as they should either.

    HI,

I have been waiting for months now for a fix to a well known IE6 problem and even had JADeveloper IM me saying they would fix the issue and then never replies. They always say, yeah in just 10 minutes and then never offer assistance.

    Can someone help me please?

I had this problem. It scared the hell out of me but I managed to solve it.

The issue is with your index.php file. I don’t know where exactly but I am certain the problem lies there. This is because I restored a backup of index.php and it got back to normal.

I DO NOT think it has ANYTHING to do with your css styling. I suggest you download firebug for Firefox and use it to ensure that your menu and main content wrappers are clean and do not overlap. I discovered all kinds of anomalies after downloading firebug. It really helps get a clean layout.

Then try reloading with internet explorer and hope for the best.

This was my post to the original problem a few months back:
