We’ve been working with this template for a potential live site on our local host. Everything looks fine on the local host and is working.
When we clone/copy the site from the local host to the actual website address, the template comes over but none of the modules, menus, photos or text appear. However, when we check the FTP site, the files are all there and installed.
When we enter the administator panel, none of the content items or modules show up in the Joomla admin area, although they are on the server.
We are using the Joomla 1.5 QuickStart version of this template. We are using the latest version of Joomla 1.5 (1.5.6)
The live site where the problem is:
http://tdsdevelopment.net/palmssalonThis is an awesome looking template when all the stuff appears.
Can anyone offer a suggestion or fix for this? Thanks much in advance for any help or assistance anyone can offer.

September 11, 2008 at 4:05 am #270049Hi
Do you export database from localhost to your server ?
Do you config again with your serverSeptember 11, 2008 at 5:02 am #270054We use Joomla XCloner for Joomla 1.5 sites. We will check the database as you suggested.
Thanks much!September 11, 2008 at 5:10 am #270055The database is populated.
Note: All of the modules are present on the site as verified by FTP but only the Main Menu module appears on the Joomla backend.
I downloaded the XCloner backup to my localhost and the template is displayed properly.
??? How come – any ideas???
So how come the template displays properly on local host and the admin panel shows all of the modules on local host but not on production server?
We had our server support team see if there were any problems with permissions on folders or other problems and they said that no problems existed.
We also FTP’d the complete Joomla directory from localhost to production server and still that did not resolve the problem.

September 11, 2008 at 7:07 am #270067We will try this again. Thanks.
I tested this template on another production site just to see what would happen – same thing, but we’ll give it another shot.
September 11, 2008 at 7:16 am #270071We tried it again and it did appear there was a problem with the database. It is now working. Thank you so much for your help and suggestions.
