Hi Guys,
I am sure I being really thick here, but which modules were used to display the graphics in the left module (with the dotted lines as a separator and a hyper-linked title) and the Brick, Cyan, Green and Normal modules on the right.
Any help here would be appreciated as I am sure that I am missing the obvious.
Regards,
Mark

September 11, 2007 at 2:23 pm #229269Usually the left module styling is built into the template and can’t be changed by adding a suffix, but to get the right side to change styling you need to do the following.
From the User Guide.
<blockquote>
JA Rochea has many built-in module styles help you present your content in effective way.
When adding modules, you can specify Module Class Suffix parameter to change display style of modules. If you don’t to use module styles , leave it blank to use default style.Structure of suffix is: -<stylename>
For example: -brick
Here are list of module style names which were included in JA-Rochea templates:
Styles: -brick, -green, -cyan
</blockquote>You add the styles suffix in the module’s configuration.

I get what you are saying and can change the -suffix without a problem, but what I cannot do is make my site display the left and right modules in the same way as the example.
What I would like to know is specifically which module (newsflash, latest news etc) was used on the left and the right of the example in order that I can use the same layout.

Mark

September 11, 2007 at 3:27 pm #229276The colours brick green and cyan only appear in the “right” module the “left” module only places a nice border round your titles.
To get the dotted lines I just copied and pasted from the sample template and copied a module and renamed it picture quizzes
check here…http://lisbon.directrouter.com/~peacockq/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=43&Itemid=74
then just edit your pics

September 11, 2007 at 3:57 pm #229280You should be able to publish any module to the left. Having looked at the demo, I would say that they just created a module and populated it with some content seperated with horizontal rules.
September 11, 2007 at 4:10 pm #229283mfcphil,
Thanks for the reply.
Which module was it that you published on the left of the template?
Regards,
Mark
PS I know this is a bit cheeky, but could you let me have a look at the code/images so I can do the same as on your site please.

September 11, 2007 at 4:19 pm #229285If you wanna use the module suffix on the left side you can open up the index.php and find this:
<?php echo mosLoadModules ( 'left',-2 );?>
And replace with this:
<?php echo mosLoadModules ( 'left',-3 );?>
September 11, 2007 at 5:58 pm #229287OK, I think I have sorted it out for myself.
I was under the misapprehension that the items other than search on the left were modules and this does not appear to be the case. I think they are images in their own right and are coded into index.php.
I have had a play around and have managed to achieve what I need to by designing some images and coding them into index.php.
When I said earlier that I was missing the obvious, I thought that the items in the left were part of a module. Perhaps they are not and this is how the effect was achieved. (perhaps someone could confirm this?)
Thanks for you help.
Regards,
Mark
