I am using Joomla 2.5.4 with this template and am now trying to optimize my website speed. I noticed that some of the largest js files loading are mootools-more and mootools-core.

I am not using the slider in the template. Is there anything else (in homepage) using those files and if not, how can I remove them from loading?

Hi,
Joomla itself uses mootools so i guess this is not the option now, what you can try is some other js files from social networks or the module that spins in your front page.
