Hello.
I am testing some chat components (utchat, jpfchat, ajaxchat,…), and seems like all use Prototype Javascript library that cannot co-exist with MooTools in the browser. With Firefox everything is OK, but the chat doesn’t load if the browser is IE.
Do you know any solution?. or other chat component that could co-exist with MooTools?.
What would be the result of disabling mootools from the template? and how to make this?.
Sorry for so much questions, i am too confused…
Thanks anyway.

September 16, 2008 at 6:12 am #270747Does this still include the caption.js when doing this? some modules/plug ins/components need the caption.js.

September 16, 2008 at 7:54 am #270766i find your last point there more suitable for most users since by removing this here from within head tags: <jdoc:include type=”head” />
you remove quite more than just mootools.sbaldwin Friendsbaldwin

December 27, 2008 at 9:35 pm #284141Hi Hainn!
I came across this Forum on MooTools and thought I would remove mootools on my Telline ll website. I don’t have any conflicts with any other components or modules, however I did read somewhere it will “speed-up” your Joomla site load time.I’m assuming it’s safe for me to remove it and it won’t effect anything on my site? Thanks! Just want to make sure, and Happy New Year! 😀
