I love Mootools and others like JQuery.

Would it be possible to have a template setting allowing for us to choose the javascript libray for the front end that we are comfortable with?

You can both JS Library mootool and jquery at the same time.
To avoid conflict between them and other JS Library, with Jquery code, using ‘no conflict’, you can read more info here: http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.noConflict/
