May 30, 2013 at 7:18 am #187853Hi colleagues, I’m still having problems with Megamenu in my multilanguage site.
First of all, I don’t know why and how, megamenu shows randomly just the first menu level, avoiding the whole menu tree.
And in second place, randomly as well, I lose all the megamenu toolbox settings (in the style/navigation section) it means I’m losing randomly the 3 level of configuration: sub-megamenu setting, column setting and menu item setting.
I know Dev Team is working on fixing several megamenu issues. But …. Did any of you heard on this kind of problems?
Thanks a lot for your help

June 3, 2013 at 1:19 pm #494598Hi again,
Well, no news from nobody, but ….
I’ve noticed that there is a CSPR-4102 code just to the right of the “Report Post” triangle of my first post. The code has a hyperlink pointing to http://pm.joomlart.com/browse/CSPR-4102 which is a URL where I’ve no rights to access.
Please could any of you (Joomlart users, developpers or support members) let me know what means this code? Is my issue under investigation? Can someone give some estimation about the date when a solution to this problem will be availible (if any)?
I’m really pressured for my customer because i’m having unsolved problems with Megamenu on my site since more than one month
Thanks for any help
joan

June 4, 2013 at 4:51 am #494662Hi Joan,
Don’t worry about that code, this ID help us to follow this thread easier.
For your issue, as I replied in your ticket, at this meantime, you can follow suggestion of Oliver-Meyer: https://github.com/t3framework/t3/issues/83#issuecomment-18440502

As far as I know, there is no problem with the megamenu on the frontend. The problem is, that if you have multiple languages and corresponding T3-styles configured, you can only work on the megamenu for the language in the backend, that is active in your browser – in the frontend – at that time.Best regards,
Olli
</blockquote>If you want to configure mega menu for a 2nd language in your site, try to set that language to default first and configure as you desired. Then switch default language again.
Regards

June 4, 2013 at 5:41 am #494665Hi @saguaros
I know this workaround you suggested but unfortunately didn’t run for me. Please try to spend two minutes on my site.
1.- Switch the language to Spanish in the frontend
2.- Go to the Template > Style > JA Mero Home Spanish > NavigationAnd you’ll realise that in the megamenu toolbox you’ll see just the 1st level of the menu tree. Submenu items are not accessible
Additionally, I don’t know why, I lose randomly all the megamenu toolbox settings (in the style/navigation section) it means I’m losing randomly the 3 level of configuration: sub-megamenu setting, column setting and menu item setting.
Please try to spend two minutes in my site and let me know your findings, it will be a great help for me
Thanks in advance
joan

June 5, 2013 at 11:37 am #494855Hi again,
I’d like to point my situation in order to avoid a misunderstanding.
My problem now is NOT in the backend, because the workaround of switching the languages in the frontend allows me to edit the megamenu in the template style. So the workaround is OK to edit the templates.
My problem now is in the FRONTEND. The behaviour of the megamenu in the frontend is quite weird, I’m using 2 languages (EN-ES), and a different template styles for each:
- First of all, if ES megamenu is showing correctly in the frontend, then when I switch to EN megamenu just shows the 1st menu level, without expanding the menu tree
- I don’t know why, randomly the behaviour of the frontend changes. If I could see before the Spanish Menu correctly, and only the 1st menu level in English, in a given time the situation switches and I just can see the 1st menu level in Spanish and the whole tree in English. At this point, when the situation switches, Megamenu loses the previous setup, and I must edit, configure and re-setup again.
I think that mine is a similar situation that the one reported by @ollezettergren and @ejbjane in this post, which has been commented by @her0 and @wall Crasher but the suggested solution were to create a different style for each language, and on my case is already done, and the problem is still unsolved.
I deeply appreciate if you can have a look to my site, please
One additional point I realized is that in the Layout Configuration of my styles, the Megamenu Module Position is being represented with the text megamenu (English) in both styles, the Spanish as well as the English. No idea how to change that, and no idea if this is being a source of problems. Please see a screenshot of my backend in order to understand that
Thanks for your help in advance
