To say it short, i love bikes, drive them, the smell of gasoline and oil, to sit on a R1 speeding or on a harley shake your ass off.</blockquote>
Good man but you really should get back into it 😉

Ah yes indeed. Had a few years away from them when I got married. Then I bought the wife a Cagiva Mito 125 … she absolutely loves it!!
Of course, I needed something then so I could ‘instruct’ her on the roads … so bought myself a Triumph TT 600
😀
Back on topic … I do like this site, content issues aside!!

June 17, 2008 at 5:45 am #254022Good one, content is great ( as I am newbie for bikes, more into cars). Which I do not like is that red color of submenus, but that is subjective.

I am still undecided whether to change the submenu colour or not so I do understand what you mean tempusserbia.

Huh, I will try to describe, as my English is not so good.
When I am thinking about bikes, I always imagine them as shiny things, metalic, glossy colors (black, navy blue, ferrari red…), chrome everywhere…
When I check your site, colors that you have implemented, by my subjective opinion are not “bikes color”.
When I’ve checked top menus, it opens submenus which are red (without hoovering), which goes to gray (on hoovering), which I do not like. Cause, rest of site are brown or something similar.
Why don’t you try to put whole site to black color, just for testing, to see if it’s better. I would use transparent menu for top.
Also, I would edit module titles (news, media, lifestyle…), to have shiny effect, to look like light is reflected from them (as light reflecting from metal, chrome…).
I am aware of fact that you are trying to present accessories, not bikes and you did great job by making this site. Above are my subjective ideas, so please, do not take them as offensive, cause my intention was not to be rude or just to criticize.
Forgive me for my bad English 🙁

June 17, 2008 at 10:10 am #254090Thank you for your comments tempusserbia, I do understand what you mean as I run another three motorcycle sites that sort of fit that description. When deciding on the style I did what you said with the black colour and presented it to a lot of my biker forum members, they almost all picked the current layout and colours saying that it was a refreshing change from dark websites and looked very much like an online magazine. Now this is my intended market so I have to take what they say on board as over 180 people gave their opinions.
I did want to break away form the usual look of a biking site and as soon as teline II came out I thought, wow this is just the template I need so I ran with it. I personally like the colour scheme so that will stay until the overwhelming feeling from the readership says otherwise.
Thank you for your constructive comments though and don’t worry too much about your English because from what I can see, its a lot better than some English peoples 😉
