I am wondering how I split apart the two slideshow buttons that are on the right side and make them so they are on each side of the image.

I verified your request, but I am so sorry the Slideshow module does not support like your expect. If you want to do that maybe you have to make a custom work from templates/ja_events_ii/acm/slideshow/tmpl/style-owl.php file
