Hello all,
I’ve been using the great Purity iii template and T3 framework, and now, due to performance issues I need to move all the CSS/JS assets possible to an external seperate domain.
Thing is I have no idea where exactly is the call made, as I see plenty of overrides in general.
I attached here a list of the assets, if you could explain to me where should I start to look for the call to these files it would be extremely helpful. All I want to do is to copy files to my seperate server and then to change the path to these files..

February 13, 2017 at 2:03 am #1009908Hi
You can not move a site CSS to new domain, except you are using a CDN service and their extension that will do this work.
I suggest you to contact your CDN provider for this work.
RegardsFebruary 13, 2017 at 10:42 am #1010021Hi,
Thank you for the prompt answer.
As for what you mentioned, why not?
It is possible to alter the URL for the CSS call inside the component, so instead of calling the file from the local directory it will call the file from a seperate domain.
But what I need is to know where, inside the structure, are the CSS files called (assuming that I will turn off the ‘minimize css’ option)
Thanks

February 13, 2017 at 11:38 am #1010060Hi
you can not move it simply, it took customization to check each file of site and custom work.
I am not sure what you want to achieve because its CDN that done this work.
I suggest you to hire a developer for such task.
RegardsFebruary 13, 2017 at 12:29 pm #1010077Hi,
I am the developer. Please understand – a CDN is one thing. A static domain which serves cookieless content is another good addition to improve performance, regardless CDN usage.
Yes, you are right – need to check each file, so this is why I posted a question here in the forum, hopefully to recieve a hint about where to start…
Regards

February 13, 2017 at 1:09 pm #1010088Hi
I can suggest you to check css folder for css file forbthe t3 framework it took heavy custom work and time to check each file and modify the calls, this is something that is out support scope to give u each path. If you will disable the compression, the css will not load from t3 aseets .February 13, 2017 at 4:48 pm #1010153Yes, I see, but I am not asking for you to do this.
I will do this.
But I hope you can help me to know where to look for these calls.
Thanks

February 14, 2017 at 1:51 am #1010293Hi
This is from the T3 Framework, you have to check T3 framework folder and Joomla files to know where each css is defined.
I suggest you to use CDN services or hire someone who can help you in this taks.
RegardsFebruary 14, 2017 at 11:10 am #1010540Hello,
If you don’t know how to help, please ask somebody with more knowledge who can.
Because this is the home-site of the framework, and the documentation is very limited.Pankaj Sharma ModeratorPankaj Sharma

If you are not able to understand let me explain in details again the framework file is defined in the plugin/system/t3
Also in the template there is folder /etc/assets.xml and you can also see the head.php that call the two css files.Besides your question and wish is related to the CDN you may check the CDN services.
Hope its clear
