    Hi All,

I created my site on a different domain name then I want the site on so I could test the system and to make sure everything works and looks fine before I replace the original site.

Is there an easy way to move the entire site over to the new domain, or do I just have manually recreate everything?

    Any help would be appreciated…

    Thanks,

    Doug

Is it from yoursite.com/test or from yoursite.com to yournew site.com? different servers or same?

From one domain /server to another domain/server:

    1. (from the original domain/server) export mysql database
    2. copy all files over to new server
    3. create new mysql database on new domain/server
    4. import mysql database to the database you just created
    5. edit the configuration.php file from the new domain/server
    – change mysql username
    – change mysql password
    – change paths
    – smtp address, username, password (if used)
    6. Test your new site by clicking on links, using contact form, etc.

Someone else can chime in if I missed something, which I probably did. :-[
