    Hi all

I’m having the same problem than the one described on this post.

I don’t know why when I switch from english to spanish on my site, the main menu dissapears, But the other modules are correctly switched and translated.

I found a lot of documentation regarding to setup a joomla multilanguage site, But none of that documentation talk about how to confiure the Joomlart Template part. So I’m a little bit lost. Don’t know if I have to create a new style for each language, or probably a new template, …

Please can anyone have assist me on that issue? Your advice will be very appreciated

    Thanks in advance

    Joan

    Hi Joan,

You should create 2 menus assigned to 2 languages respectively as mentioned in guide I posted in that thread: http://help.joomla.org/files/EN-GB_multilang_tutorial.pdf

Hi @saguaros, I did that, I followed step by step the instructions of the tutorial you suggest. But I’m still having problems.

I think the point is with the Megamenu and the Template Styles configuration. I’m sorry but I cannot get the right setup.

Please check the following screenshots I captured when working on the Navigation TAB of the Template Styles Editor:

In the first one, when i set the Megamenu Configuration to Main Menu – EN (English) no menu items appear to be configured in the bottom

If i switch to Main Menu – All, just appears the Home menu item in the Bottom

Finally, switching to Main Menu – ES (Spanish) all the menu items are shown on the bottom to be configured

Please could you help me to get the right setup?

Thanks in advance for your help

In addition to my last message, let me share with you two screenshots of my frontend home page

When the language is set to english the menu appears as expected with all their items

but as explained in my last post, I cannot modify the megamenu configuration in the style template because the megamenu toolbox contain no menu items

In the other side, when I click the spanish flag

no menu items appear in the frontend, and I can edit the megamenu layout because the menu items are visible in the megamenu toolbox

Please, I’m absolutely stopped with this issue. Any help will be deeply appreciatted

    Thanks in advance

    joan

I too have a problem with multilingual menu in JA Mendozite for Joomla 2.5
Whatever I do, I cannot make the Greek and the English menu to show. I can only see the (disabled) Main menu.
    You can try yourself
    http://palladion1.artemis.my-portal.gr/index.php
You always see the Main menu that has one item (Home). The other two menus are not displayed.
I have followed everything that the guides tell, in specific I followed the guide in this link
    http://www.scribd.com/doc/82768844/Joomla-2-5-multi-language-website-without-using-3rd-extensions-in-10-steps

In another site I have created, I didn’t face this problem.
I can give you admin access if you would like to.
    Thank you in advance,
