Hi, I’m using JA Teline IV with Joomal v2.51 with multilanguage.

There are some very grave issue:

    1. If I’m in an italian page and I select the home on the menu or on the logo link, it return me on the english homepage.
    2. The same thing happen with the iPhone template.
    3. I tested it with adn without K2 installed.

    So how proced?

Thank to who could help me.

Ciao, I can’t promise anything but I have done a few multilingual sites. Could you post the url?

    test2.crefis.it

The home links at the bottom of the page work for both englsih – http://test2.crefis.it/en/ and also for the italian http://test2.crefis.it/it/

So,iIt looks like you may have not set the Italian “Home” to language Italian but it is set at “All”. Or that it is not set as default for Italian. You should see the Italian flag next to it in menu manager.

The home links at the bottom are alias that points to Italian “home” and the english “Home”, set with the properly langage italian and english.
Also, I used two different modules for the “footnav” position, one for italian and one for the english language.

Try http://test.crefis.it/, with only the megamenu.
    The problem is the same…

First we need to see if you have set it up properly for multi language in the Joomla way.

You should have three language menus.

    Default
    Italian
    English

    example

If you do not have this then I can give you a link to a video of how to do it. Only when it is like this I think can see if the problem is elsewhere.

    1. default
    2. swiss
    3. menus

The menus are like you describe, now.
FOr every menu I forgot to assign a module.
    Could be that the issue?
How should I configure the 3 module all, italian and english?
In the module I had to select the pages, or is enought create and unpublish?
    Thanks

That shouldn’t matter really. They will come as you build the site and assign modules to a language. For example in my site I copy a module into the 2 languages so that one with language english takes content from the english categories and same with the swiss one.

What you do need to do is to assign the main menus to the languages/pages in template manager.

If you follow this thread it will save me writing it again!! 😀

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/t3-template-allows-only-1-main-menu-in-multi-language-joomla-1-7-installation/#post-434880

If you have problems then I will see if I can help further.

    Ciao

EDIT: For the last section T3 2.5.1. allows you just to pick a language. You don’t have to pick each menu ID now!! 🙂

Sorry openorg, I do not have PM. And for your safety (and mine!) this would need to be done by someone from Joomlart.

There are a few live on the board at the moment and one is Italian (and knows multi-language really well) !! 🙂
