Hi,
I have a website which I would like to have in two languages, English and French, I’m using Joomfish and I have no problems in translating the content.
I am also using AceSEF to generate SEF URLs and there’s the problem. I have set AceSEF to add the language prefix to the URL so I would have mywebsite.com/en/#contact for English and mywebsite.com/fr/#contactez-nous instead of my website.com/#contact for English and mywebsite.com/#contactez-nous for french. The problem is that the language prefix is not added to the URL even after double checking AceSEF settings and make sure that I set add language prefix to the URL.
I’d like to know if it is possible to add the language prefix in the URL based on the language. I don’t know if it can be done in the XML file or in the menu module.
Another thing is that I’d like to know if the menu items and links in this menu: http://awesomescreenshot.com/094bpgl78 are automatically built based on the info in the XML file, I think it is but I’d like to have some one confirming it.So my question is, how could I add the language prefix to the URL.
Thank you very much for your help

April 21, 2011 at 8:41 am #387458Hi freeman76,
Not like other templates, JA Cloris uses an extra special menu system allowing scrolling in homepage. Unfortunately the url suffixes are defined in .xml file and they can not be translated.
Does the link http://awesomescreenshot.com/094bpgl78 relate to our template? As far as I see, it does not.

Thanks for replying. So you’re saying it’s not a good template to use for multilingual website. Would there be a way to translate the URL or to add the language suffix to the xml file? Like programming or anything else?
And yes the link http://awesomescreenshot.com/094bpgl78 does relate to my template. Why you think it does not relate? Thanks

If you wanted to modify the code, there would be some solutions definitely. But I’m afraid its too complicated to figure out here and it’s out of our support scope, I’m sorry to say that. Ja cloris is good for multi language, but your need is a little special, I will tell the devs about your case and hopefully they can have a solution. You can track the info here:
