My website urls have unnecessary text which is generic, and it makes articles look bad. How do i remove it, see below

http://www.sbreview.net/index.php/terms-of-use-and-privacy-policy/smes/components/content-component/article-category-list/824-uk-government-signs-5-5m-deal-with-microsoft-deal-to-extend-windows-xp-support

In the url there is this text
…terms-of-use-and-privacy-policy/smes/components…

How do I remove it from my article urls.

Please help.

In the case, you should use extension for SEF, for instance, sh404SEF, JoomSef… You can find out more in Joomla Extension Directory here: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/site-management/sef

In your Article url i can see components/content-component/ . it shows you have not assigned this article category to a menu. Please assign this article article to a menu.
