How can I troubleshoot this?

Could it be because I installed the newsletter module acajoom?

Yes, I tried to create a new one.
That doesn´t work.

The form works well on the site, but there are no messages received (also the copy to the user).

Yes, the same as on my other joomla sites and they work fine.

That can not be the issue because I never had another template in my joomla installation.
I downloaded the version from joomlart with the template JA_Dravity included.
And it did work in the beginning.

Is there a log I could look into?
