V2 ja_transmenu ‘as is’ works in legacy mode in joomla 1.5..
I have modified the ja_transmenu V2 files so they now run in joomla 1.5 without legacy mode. No guarantees.. feel free to try it..
I hope I’ve found and changed most of the code things that needed upgrade for joomla 1.5 …. if you find more probs, why not use this thread, I’m sure people will chip in with solutions.
I’ve not fully tested it yet, try it out anyway.. it seems to work.. , but haven’t used an SEO setting with it.

Note that I’ve changed the module name simply to transmenu, as I’m only using one transmenu design in my joomla.. but the module title in joomla says ‘JA Trans Menu V2 mod jph’, jph being my initials. Code is commented where I changed things.
Lets hope this enables JoomlArt to complete their own full version.for joomla 1.5 . if they haven’t started already.. certainly I learned a lot quickly, from attending to the module..
