    Hello,

Urgent help needed, thank you in advance!!

I use the megamenu in the top postion, and it has mysteriously disappeared today! I can’t figure out what is wrong, I have not changed any of the server settings in quite some time. Everything looks good in the Purity2 template settings, and the menu is published. It is in the “Top” position, but it’s not there.

As a temporary work-around, I have published another menu in the “left” position, and it’s displaying fine. Below is a screenshot from before I did this, and you can see there is no menu at the top.

    Any ideas?

    Bill

Been trying to figure out why your main nav menu isn’t displaying across the top – I’m afraid I’m finding myself stumped.

Escalating this to one of the JA Developers for additional assistance.

Not sure what you did, but my menu is now at the top… However, the site looks horrendous LOL ! 😀 :-[

I didn’t really do anything, to be honest. I checked out your settings for the Main Menu … unpublished/republished the Main Menu and “Who’s Online” modules … cleared the JAT3 cache a few times … That’s All. :((

I even went through everything to make sure all of the settings were the same as when I found them – when it seemed as through it wasn’t displaying as it should – as I did not want to change anything prior to one of the Devs taking a look.

Honestly, I didn’t modify ANYTHING at all …. there is something squirrely going on with some element, and I’m sure it is something relatively simple/innocuous. I did create a HELP DESK Ticket for you.

TRULY odd… that’s what I had tried to do myself, with no luck. Even more oddly, is that the menu is once again back on top, and the site looks the way it is supposed to… WEIRD!!

I agree … which tells me that there is something squirrely happening – and I can’t rightly ascertain whether it’s a browser issue or some stupidly simple element requiring a simple “click” somewhere. I checked with a “Joomla Guru” friend of mine and asked, in general terms” what causes the CSS styling not to display properly (as I see it happen from time to time – even on “major” sites). He replied that “something” must have changed … even though I KNOW I left all of the settings exactly as I found them when I was looking around for you.

While I am glad that the main menu is now back, I’m frustrated too that the CSS is not being applied.

Nevertheless, I am confident that my JA Developer colleagues will be able to quickly diagnose and resolve this issue for you.

Not to bee a pain in the arse, but since you have the admin login, do you think you can figure out why it won’t update the template? It shows there is an update for JA Purity 2, but it fails when trying to update it. Never had this problem with the template before & can’t figure it out.

Might this be a clue as to what the issue could be??

I think there MAY be an issue with the JA servers at this particular moment – as the html formatting features for posting here are not displaying/working as they should – at least within the browsers I use (primarily Chrome and FireFox). Although I don’t see how this would affect the CSS styling on a site on a completely different server, ya know?

Computers are fantastic, but they can be fantastically frustrating at times too.

I apologize for the temporary stalling of things, my friend …. though I would suggest to keep inspecting things within your admin settings and employing some “trial and error” to see if you can get things back as they are supposed to be – while you await further response/insight from one of the JA Dev Team.
