I’m a Magento and Joomla Dev Member and my title badge thing is a bit blah.

I don’t like it. It seemed to have changed a few minutes ago? The little icons for Magento and Joomla have vanished above the dev tag. :confused:

This happens every now and again.

JoomlArt team are always working on these things and changing it about due to the growth of JA into Magento and so forth.

I wonder why the JM Forums are open to the public and not only JM Members can access those with the exception of one or two public forums for any types of question referring to anything else than what only paid members should be able to access.;)

Maybe you have done something really really and truly bad.:D

Did you already send a prvate message to Hung? That will usually do the trick, at least you will get a response.

And, if you are ignored, just check some posts that got direct response from Joomlart.

Just curious, are there actual forums that you cannot visit right now? It seems the distinctions have blurred.

Easy answer. When you have something new and wanted the public to know, you have to make it public. Some consumer companies even give it away for free. To my knowledge, only Apple has been able to create a buzz and mystique by being secretive in almost everything it creates — until they choose to share the info to the public. What is even more fascinating was the number of individuals, so-called analysts and internet sites that could make a living speculating about rumors, or analysing rumors about Apple would be coming up next. I am even more surprrised how many of them could be so wrong with their predictions and still not be ignored at a later date, if they make another prediction, that more often than not would turn out to be incorrect, yet again.

When a company can elicit such responses when your rivals would disparage your efforts and then turn around to copy it, then you have arrived as a company.

If only Joomlart could emulate some of what Apple does then they could close their doors to the public, and people would still line up to have a chance to use their products.

LOL it is kind of sad isn’t it, almost like you have been demoted 😮 makes me not want to go get that 1/2 off on the Magento developer thing. Maybe I will wait to see what sort of cool title badge you get… :p

Other than looking really sad, does your demotion seem to affect any part of your membership?

My demotion seems to have not affected anything. Saying that, I can still access exactly the same things as I accessed before.

Sending a PM to miccas may help. He fixed mine too earlier this month. I just had the text “licensed member”. Sent a PM to Miccas and he gave the batch.

It was like yours shannon, but next to the joomla dev icon just below your name, it had the magento dev icon too.

Pretty strange stuff.

Even stranger. The ‘Dev’ icon and the ‘Magenta Dev’ icon were there about 6 hours ago! 🙂

Din check today but i saw those 2 small icons yesterday under his “licensed Member” text. It seems he keep losing them :p
