Im trying to install JA Sulfur Quickstart onto a 1and1 server and on every attempt to install, (on my 4th try now) I run into issues while on the Database Configuration screen. On my current attempt I enter the database info and I get “Unable to connect to the database:Could not connect to MySQL”.

Did you make a database and user via cpanel, and make sure to add the user to the database with all the privileges checked. Also, check to make sure the host is set to “Localhost”.

I did create a new database and do not have any options regarding user privileges on 1and1 hosting.

Can you screen shot it?

And are you including the account username in the fields (Username_database)?
